Our favourite Australian talk fest, Festival of Dangerous Ideas, has just released its 2015 line up. In previous years we’ve brain crushed on The Wire creator David Simon, Justice Michael Kirby and author and animal rights activist Jonathan Safran Foer. We’ve left with dangerous ideas on all kinds of things, like giving the environment legal rights, radical alternatives to incarceration for criminal punishment and different ways of looking at sex and relationships.

This year we’re particularly excited to see Naomi Klein, author of No Logo and The Shock Doctrine speak about climate change and the economy, Peter Greste, the Australian journalist jailed in Egypt, on press freedom and Jon Ronson, master sceptic and author of Men Who Stare at Goats and The Psychopath Test talk about our rising “shame culture”.
